Caduceus and Copper Cross

Caduceus 8x10"
The Caduceus is a commission from a woman who is giving it to a doctor friend as a present.
The wax worked out really well with the doctor's symbol, and especially with the choice of colours. The big thing for me is that because the doctor is an urologist, I thought it would work in the colours that would look like water. I think it turned out well.

Copper Cross II 14x18"
The second is a cross with copper leaf that I donated to a local church fundraiser. It was pretty cool, I liked doing it, I had the epiphany early on so it was quite easy to do. The copper leaf is actually enjoyable to do, before I put a heavy black wash over it, then put the sealer overtop. Both turned out well.

Barn and fence post

Here's a piece I did on commission. I really liked it, but doing pen and ink is a long process.
I've been enjoying doing the waxes a lot, but I still do some drawing for pleasure and for other people.
I have a series of commissions I'm working on, including a few I'll post below.

Buffalo II

My new buffalo is one that I thought would grab attention. It has, although it hasn't received the same kind of reaction that I've become accustomed to. I think everyone likes it, but I think because the colors are dark, it doesn't provoke the same kind of feelings... I'm not sure. Maybe its the pose. Most likely I won't have him for long either.
22"x30" He's up for $500.

Bighorn Sheep

My new waxes are complete, with a bunch backlogged. I'm working on a couple of commissions now, but I've got a few abstracts that I need to post. They are about the only ones left that haven't sold, except this Bighorn sheep and a new buffalo.
This monster is for sale. Frame not shown, $650.
